IN CHICAGO, THE RENAISSANCE HOTEL AND CONVENTION CENTER
We loved the Wyndham Northwest Hotel where we held our first Chicago expo last spring, but we needed more space for casting demos, etc., and we’ve moved down the road to the Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center. The Renaissance will be a terrific venue and we’re looking forward to being at this new, spacious facility. It’s right at the intersection of I 90 and Hwy. 53 — couldn’t be more convenient to folks coming from Chicago and those driving from Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, “downstate” Illinois, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri.
The Renaissance, located less than a half hour from O’Hare Airport, has an exercise club, a business center, swimming pool, great restaurants and free parking. It is also only one mile to the Woodfield Mall, an oasis of shopping and dining destinations. Discounted rates of $99 for Expo guests are in effect, on a first-come, first-served basis. Twenty-two stories high and loaded with amenities, the Sheraton Bloomington is a perfect home for the Great Waters Fly Fishing Expo. Importantly, the Sheraton Bloomington is located conveniently at a hub of major Twin Cities freeway systems.
From I-494, take Hwy. 100 north; exit at Industrial Boulevard and drive west two blocks. The Sheraton Bloomington will always be in view. If you’re driving south on Hwy. 100, take the 77th St. exit and drive straight on through to the Sheraton’s free parking.
The Sheraton Bloomington is 10 minutes from Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. Expo airline travelers can hook up at the airport for a free Sheraton shuttle service. The Sheraton also is 10 minutes from the Mall of America and there is a free Mall shuttle for all Expo guests.
